The RTX 4080 Super will showcase 10,240 CUDA cores, 16GB of GDDR6X memory (23 Gbps), and a Total Graphics Power (TGP) of 320W. However, NVIDIA asserts that the actual power requirements for this model will be approximately 246W during gameplay and 15W when idle.

According to Nvidia, the card promises “4K Full RT Gaming and Super-Fast Gen AI” and claims to offer 2 times the performance of the RTX 3080Ti. The official release date for this GPU is 31 January 2024.

As for the RTX 4070 Ti SUPER, it is set to feature 8,448 CUDA cores and 16GB of GDDR6X memory. Despite a TGP of 285W, the estimated power consumption during gaming is 226W, dropping to 12W in idle mode.

The key enhancement for this SKU is the memory upgrade. Nvidia asserts that the RTX 4070 Ti Super will deliver 2.5 times the performance of the RTX 3070 Ti, with an official release date of 24 January 2024.

The RTX 4070 Super, marking a significant improvement in the series, is expected to have a 20% increase in cores compared to its non-SUPER counterpart, totalling 7,680 cores.

This model is confirmed to have 36MB of L2 cache, aligning with the non-SUPER variant. The anticipated power consumption is around 200W during gaming sessions and 11W when idle. Nvidia claims that the RTX 4070 Super will outperform the RTX 3090, and it is set to be officially launched on 17 January 2024.

Pricing and Availability

The RTX 4080 Super has a price tag of USD999 (~RM4,644), which is USD200 less than the initial launch price of its non-Super counterpart, the RTX 4080.

This aligns with Nvidia’s indication that the RTX 4080 Super and RTX 4070 Ti Super are poised to replace the current models in their product lineup.

The RTX 4070 Ti Super is set to be priced at USD799 (~RM3,714). Concurrently, the RTX 4070 Super is anticipated to have a retail price of USD599 (~RM2,784), while the existing 4070 is officially confirmed to have a revised Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) of USD549 (~RM2,552).

At the time of writing, no local availability was announced. Also, with the release of RTX 4080 Super and 4070 Ti Super, Nvidia will no longer be producing RTX 4080 and 4070 Ti and will designate them as end-of-life (EOL) products.
