The e-Tunai Belia Rahmah is an initiative introduced by the government during the Belanjawan 2023. This initiative was created to help students and youths to alleviate the burden and cope with the increasing cost of living on campus.
According to Rnggt, the Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim said that the government will start crediting the RM200 e-Tunai before the third week of June 2023.
This is financial assistance is only for youth between 18 to 20 years old or to those who are actively enrolled as full-time students in higher education institutions.
Through the e-Tunai assistance, it’s expected that around 2 million youths will benefit from this initiative, with a total allocation of RM400 million for distribution. However, as of now, there are no further details regarding the exact date of the distribution.
The Prime Minister also didn’t say how the youths and students will be getting their RM200. Will it be credited through Touch ‘n Go eWallet? Grabpay? Directly to their bank account? This question remains unanswered.
