Brace for impact as Malaysia Digital Expo 2023 (MDX  2023), Malaysia’s digital convergence extravaganza, readies its stage for a lineup of world-class speakers. From Artificial Intelligence (AI) gurus to blockchain wizards, MDX 2023 hosts luminaries shaping our digital destiny. 

Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC), the nation’s lead digital economy agency, is organising MDX 2023 – a six-week extravaganza celebrating Malaysia’s vibrant digital economy. Themed “Let’s do business. Get invested in Malaysia”, MDX  2023 is a nationwide celebration of Malaysia’s digital economy, showcasing the latest innovations and technologies from local and global companies. It aims to demonstrate  Malaysia’s readiness to explore and grow; take the digital ecosystem to the next level and open doors for businesses in the ASEAN region and beyond. 

The MDX 2023 Grand Finale will take place from 6 to 8 November at the Malaysia  International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC), Kuala Lumpur. YAB Prime Minister, Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim, is scheduled to deliver the keynote at MDX 2023. Amongst the marquee speakers on the show include Zack Kass, the former Head of Go-To-Market for OpenAI (developer of ChatGPT) and futurist, who will be headlining a  session entitled “Digital Edge: Forging the Digital Economy Forward through AI”.  

Ricky Kapur, Head of APAC, Zoom, will also be leading a panel session discussing “Building Businesses: The Importance of Pivoting”. The session will unpack ‘pivoting’  as a critical concept and strategic decision to change or adjust a company’s business model, product offering, target market, or other key aspects of the business in response to new information and frequently changing market conditions, especially in today’s digital economy. Meanwhile, Ahmed Emre Buyukkilic, Country Advisor,  Investment Office (Turkiye), is slotted to participate in a panel discussion centered on  “Unlocking Potential Beyond ASEAN”, with highlights on digital export potential,  challenges, and strategies required to enter and navigate the new markets in Rwanda,  United Kingdom (UK), and Turkey effectively.  

MDX 2023 will also feature a host of leading digital innovators and leaders which include Hiroyuki Kato, Director of Japan Peppol Authority; Jeremy Deutsch, President of Asia-Pacific, Equinix; Dr. Bala Amavasai, Chair for the IEEE Systems, Man and  Cybernetics Society for UK and Ireland; Eric Cheng, Co-Founder and CEO of  Carsome; Taufiq Iskandar, CEO of Penjana Kapital and many more.

MDX 2023 will also feature an exhibition which will showcase some of Malaysia’s leading digital innovations including Grab, Capbay, Razer Merchant Services,  Primary Guard, Virtual Economy Technology and many more.
