The Ministry of Energy Transition and Water Transformation (PETRA) has introduced the ‘Solar BOLEH!’ initiative to make solar energy more accessible.

Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof announced this collaboration with AEON Group, Bank Simpanan Nasional (BSN), and SOLS Energy, according to Bernama.

The initiative, part of the People’s Solar Transition Initiative (Solar@PETRA Initiative), aims to expand domestic access to solar installation schemes and financing.

Through partnerships with AEON, BSN, and SOLS Energy, the programme offers easy solar installation subscriptions, with benefits for AEON cardholders.

This initiative, alongside the government’s Solar for Rakyat Incentive Scheme (SolaRIS), seeks to reduce carbon footprint by promoting solar energy adoption.

Fadillah emphasises the importance of public-private collaboration in achieving the nation’s energy transition goals, including expanding solar photovoltaic system installations for residential areas.
