The Road Transport Department (JPJ) asserts that it has never granted approval to BJAK Sdn. Bhd. (BJAK) to conduct motor vehicle license (LKM) renewal or online road tax transaction services.
“We affirm that the Ministry of Transport Malaysia (MOT) or JPJ has never granted approval to BJAK to conduct road tax renewal transaction services.
“JPJ also wishes to inform that statements made by BJAK on their website stating ‘Online road tax renewal at BJAK has been audited, confirmed, and approved by JPJ’ are false and misleading to the public,” they said today on X (formerly Twitter).
JPJ mentioned that they have received several complaints from the public, indicating that road tax renewals were carried out through BJAK’s website, but the road tax validity period was not updated.
“We want to clarify and emphasise that there is no system integration between the JPJ System (MySIKAP) and the system used by BJAK.
“At the same time, JPJ has also received complaints of dissatisfaction from the public who were charged additional fees when renewing road tax imposed by BJAK,” they emphasised.
They reiterated that neither JPJ nor MOT has ever approved any additional charges imposed by BJAK on their customers.
“The transaction for road tax renewal is only through JPJ counters, JPJ kiosks, JPJ Mobile counters, MyJPJ app, JPJ public portal, and JPJ business partner platforms like Pos Malaysia, MyEG, and PUSPAKOM.
“The operations conducted by BJAK regarding road tax renewal transactions are without authorisation from JPJ,” they said.
