Have you ever found yourself needing to find specific messages, spending a considerable amount of time searching for them, and wishing for a more convenient solution? Your wish has been granted.

Beta testers have recently identified a new feature indicating that WhatsApp is preparing to introduce pinned messages.

In the Google Play Beta Program, WhatsApp released version 2.23.21.4, and it seems that users can now pin messages at the top of their conversations, according to WABetaInfo.

Specifically, users have the ability to select a portion of a message they wish to pin and then place it at the top of an ongoing chat. Users can pin a message for: 24 hours, 7 days, and 30 days. Users can also manually dismiss the pin without waiting for it to expire.

This message pinning feature enables participants in the conversation to conveniently access older messages and information more swiftly.

Alongside the introduction of the pinning option, the chat share menu has also undergone a redesign. It appears to be more user-friendly, and the updates have not compromised any of the sharing capabilities — users can still effortlessly send a wide variety of files to chat recipients.

The pinned messages feature and the revamped chat share sheet are currently accessible to a select group of beta testers who have installed the latest WhatsApp beta update for Android from the Google Play Store. These features will gradually roll out to a wider audience over the upcoming weeks.
