Acer has announced the introduction of the new Chromebook Plus 514 (CB514-4H/T), an expansion of its Chromebook laptop lineup, which is powered by Intel’s Core i3 N-series processor.
The Core i3-N305 processor, equipped with 8 E-cores and 8 threads, paired with 8GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to 512GB of PCIe 3.0 SSD. The laptop has a 14-inch Full HD IPS display with 300-nit brightness.
Acer claims the 53Wh battery provides up to 11 hours of battery life. For charging convenience, a pair of USB-C ports is available on either side.
The Chromebook, weighing a mere 1.43 kg and with a thickness of 20.5 mm, meets the U.S. MIL-STD 810H standards, ensuring it is built to withstand daily wear and tear.
The laptop features a 1080p webcam with Acer’s TNR (temporal noise reduction) technology for clear images. It also support Bluetooth 5.2 and Wi-Fi 6E.
For privacy, the laptop includes a physical webcam shutter and an electronic kill switch to disable the webcam and onboard microphones.
For input/output, the Chromebook comes with two USB Type-C ports (supporting DisplayPort, and USB charging), two USB Type-A ports, and a MicroSD card reader slot.
