Telekom Malaysia (TM) announced several changes to its broadband product offerings under the Unifi brand.

These updates include the introduction of packages that start at 100Mbps, a special 30Mbps package for Rahmah Package recipients, and the availability of separate 1Gbps and 2Gbps packages without the need to subscribe to Unifi TV packages, according to Amanz.

With this new offering, Unifi packages now offer a starting speed of 100Mbps for RM99 per month, with a limited-time promotion at RM89 per month. The new Unifi package offerings include options up to 2Gbps.

Under this new plan, the 800Mbps package is no longer available, except for the Rahmah Unifi 30Mbps package, which will continue to be offered to the B40 community, persons with disabilities (OKU), senior citizens, and veterans at a rate of RM69 per month.

This plan update is part of TM’s efforts to simultaneously boost the average internet speed for users in Malaysia compared to now. TM also added that existing Unifi customers will be getting a free upgrade to the next speed level.

  • 30Mbps to 100Mbps
  • 100Mbps to 300Mbps
  • 300Mbps to 500Mbps
  • 500Mbps to 800Mbps
  • 800Mbps to 1Gbps

The upgrade process will be implemented gradually for all users, with TM aiming to complete it within a period of up to 3 months.

Unifi customers will receive notifications through standard communication channels, such as SMS and email, to inform them when they will receive this internet speed upgrade.

Besides that, Unifi is also offering a new plan that combines 100Mbps home broadband, 4G+5G unlimited data, and a free 5G smartphone for RM149 per month.
