Datuk Pua Khein Seng, the Malaysian born entrepreneur and inventor of the USB drive was sentenced to to a total of three years and 10 months in prison.

According to Taiwan media Liberty Times, the famed inventor made false reports and announcements under Article 171 of the Securities and Exchange Act.
For his first charge prosecutors said he instructed his subordinates to falsify accounting transactions between 2009 and 2014. For that he was sentenced to two years in prison.
For his second charge of making false entries in a civil servant’s report, Pua was sentenced to a one year and 10 months jail term.
The Hsinchu District court meted out the sentence.
Pua said that he would appeal and discuss the matter with his lawyer.
He also emphasised that the current operations and finances of his company will not be affected by the judgment.
