The Raja of Perlis, Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin Jamalullail, reported that the 5G network coverage in populated areas of the state reached 91.4% as of 31 December 2023.
His Royal Highness emphasised the importance of the state government exploring new investment opportunities in high-tech fields to boost the state’s economy, given the rapid development of broadband infrastructure, according to Bernama.
His Royal Highness stressed the need for the state government to offer more online services for the convenience of Perlis residents.
Additionally, Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin noted the Perlis government’s preparation of the Perlis State Smart City Blueprint and Action Plan, which will guide the state towards becoming a Smart City.
His Royal Highness expressed his belief that achieving this goal will enhance residents’ quality of life and address urban challenges through technology and smart nation solutions.
