The first V4 Supercharger stations in Southeast Asia have been officially deployed by Tesla. These stations, situated at IOI City Mall in Putrajaya and IOI Mall Puchong, introduce a total of eight V4 Superchargers, along with two Destination chargers.
At IOI City Mall and IOI Mall Puchong, the Superchargers offer a charging rate of RM1.25 per kWh. Additionally, if the station is fully occupied and a vehicle remains parked after charging, an idle fee of up to RM4.00 will be applied.
Tesla has announced that the Destination chargers are currently free to use until further notice.
These latest V4 Superchargers are touted to provide DC charging rates up to 250kW. Tesla claims that these stations can supply its Model 3 Long Range with up to 282km worth of power in just 15 minutes, according to its press release.
As of 2 May, Tesla has inaugurated 10 Supercharging stations (48 Superchargers) and 11 Destination Charging stations (57 chargers) in Malaysia and the company said they will continue to expand the charging network throughout the country.
