Tesla claims that the Model Y holds the title of the world’s best-selling electric SUV and stands out as one of the safest vehicles on the road, boasting 5-star ratings from NHTSA (National Highway Traffic Safety Administration), similar to JPJ, but in the United States.

Positioned as a mid-size SUV, the Model Y offers a spacious cargo area exceeding 2,100 litres, accommodating versatile seating and storage for up to five passengers and their belongings.

Equipped with ultra-responsive motors, the Model Y accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.7 seconds. Additionally, it boasts a range of up to 533 km on a single charge, according to the company.

The Model Y is equipped with an all-glass roof, autopilot functionality, active safety features, and a HEPA air filtration system. The public can now take a look at the Model Y and Model 3 at Tesla’s Experience Centres located in Cyberjaya and Pavilion Damansara Heights.

Tesla has also announced plans to further develop its sales, after-sales service, and charging support within the country. To date, Tesla has established and is operating six Supercharging stations and eight Destination Charging stations across Malaysia, providing a total of 30 Superchargers and 37 Destination Chargers in the nation’s major cities.

The company said they are committed to continuing the expansion of its charging infrastructure and enhancing the charging network coverage throughout Malaysia.
