Last week, Nothing announced its next smartphone, the Nothing Phone (2a) and promised that the phone would be a “clear upgrade compared to the Phone (1) on every single front.”
At that time, the company had just revealed a teaser but offered no look at the phone (2a). However, people on the Internet managed to get their hands on a supposedly rendered image of the phone.
According to Smartprix, the upcoming Nothing Phone (2a) will showcase a redesigned back panel, distinct from the company’s previous phone releases.
Positioned at the top left are two protruding camera lenses, accompanied by a prominent circular element at the top.
In contrast to the Nothing Phone (2), which featured large circular lines in the centre above the wireless charging hardware, the Phone (2a) lacks this particular design element.
As you can see, the Nothing’s iconic Glyph feature is missing from the Phone (2a), most likely trying to keep the cost down.
The render image is allegedly based on pre-production sample units, so the final product might still have the Glyph feature.
According to a leak, Phone (2a) is expected to feature a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate.
It will be powered by the Dimensity 7200 chipset, coupled with 8/12GB RAM and 128/256GB storage. The rear of Phone 2a is expected to house a dual 50MP camera setup, and rumours suggest a launch price in the USD400 (~RM1,892) range.
