Intel just announced the new Intel Core 14th Generation desktop processor family, with i9-14900K leading the pack, followed by i7-14700K, and i5-14600K. These new processors will retain the same pricing as the 13th gen.
The Intel Core i9-14900K boasts 24 cores, which consist of 8 P-Cores and 16 E-Cores, accompanied by a 36MB cache. This CPU is set to achieve a maximum boost clock of 6.0 GHz for its P-Cores and has a base frequency of 3.2 GHz. This CPU will support DDR5-5600 memory, as well as DDR4-3200.
Furthermore, the Core i7-14700K CPU, the only model in the lineup to see an increase in core count, now features 20 cores, with 8 P-Cores and 12 E-Cores. The CPU will reach a boost clock of 5.6 GHz and has a base clock of 3.4 GHz.
The 14-core i5-14600K, which includes a total of 20 cores with 6 P-Cores and 8 E-Cores, is poised to deliver a boost clock of 5.3 GHz and a base clock of 3.5 GHz.
All of these CPUs will have a default TDP (PL1/Processor Base Power) of 125W, with PL2 (Max Turbo Power) reaching as high as 253W for the 14900K/14700K series and 181W for the 14600K model.
Games, Content Creation, and Generational Performance Benchmarks
Intel also released a bunch of benchmarks, most of which focused on the gaming performance of 14th gen processors.
Pricing and Availability
The Core i9-14900K will be available for USD589 (~RM2,790), while its variant without integrated GPU support, the Core i9-14900KF, will retail for USD564 (~RM2,671).
The Core i7-14700K will be priced at USD409 (~RM1,937), and its GPU-less variant, the Core i7-14700KF, will be available for USD384 (~RM1,819) .
The Core i5-14600K will have a price tag of USD319 (~RM1,511), while its variant without integrated graphics, the Core i5-14600KF, will be priced at USD294 (~RM1,392).
Intel says the 14th gen desktop processors will be available at retail outlets and via OEM partner systems starting 17 October 2023. So, you can probably buy one soon in Malaysia.
