Microsoft has launched a subscription-based Copilot Pro and eased the eligibility requirements for enterprise-level Copilot offerings.
The apparent goal is to expand the potential customer base for paid Copilot services and enhance the appeal of Microsoft’s existing services, particularly Word, Excel, and other apps within the Microsoft 365 family, through the integration of AI features.
The newly introduced Copilot Pro is a USD20 (~RM94) monthly subscription designed for power users, providing access to the latest ChatGPT releases and features, including Copilot in Microsoft 365 apps.
Microsoft has also introduced Copilot GPT, a feature enabling users to customise Copilot around specific topics such as “fitness, travel, cooking, and more,” with Copilot Pro users eventually gaining the ability to create their own Copilot GPTs.
Copilot Pro users are granted access to GPT-4 Turbo during peak times starting now, and they will have the option to switch between different GPT models in the future. The subscription includes enhanced AI image creation, offering faster processing and higher image quality, along with optional landscape formatting.
In addition to Copilot Pro, Microsoft has announced that Copilot for Microsoft 365 is now widely available to small companies through its “Business Premium” and “Business Standard” subscriptions.
The pricing remains unchanged from the earlier enterprise launch, at USD30 (~RM141) per person per month, now available for purchase between 1 and 299 seats.
Furthermore, Microsoft has expanded accessibility by making the Copilot iOS and Android apps available to the general public. This move comes after a limited launch last month, ensuring that a broader audience can now benefit from the features and capabilities offered by the Copilot.
