After releasing the app on Android late December, Microsoft finally released the ChatGPT-like generative AI on Apple devices.

The app provides users with entry to Microsoft Copilot (formerly known as Bing Chat) and functions comparably to OpenAI’s ChatGPT mobile app.

Beyond enabling users to pose questions, compose emails, and condense text, it also allows the generation of images through its integration with the text-to-image generator DALL-E3.

In contrast to the ChatGPT app, which requires a subscription to access GPT-4, the most recent large language model (LLM) developed by OpenAI, Copilot provides access to GPT-4 for free.

Microsoft’s renaming of Bing Chat to Copilot indicates the company’s shift towards providing a standalone experience akin to ChatGPT.

The Copilot app is available for download on the App Store for iOS and iPadOS devices.
