OnePlus 12 Officially Launched In China

The phone will be coming globally in “early 2024”.

OnePlus announced today the availability of its latest flagship smartphone, the OnePlus 12, in China.

The OnePlus 12 continues and builds upon the design of its predecessor, the OnePlus 11, adhering to the same design philosophy inspired by luxury watches featuring a hollow-curved design.

The flagship phone is driven by Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, which will be available in four configurations: 12GB+256GB, 16GB+512GB, 16GB+1TB, and 24GB+1TB.

Equipped with a BOE X1 6.82-inch LTPO OLED display boasting a resolution of 1,440 x 3,168 px and a variable 1-120Hz refresh rate, the phone achieves an industry-leading peak brightness of 4,500 nits in auto mode and employs 2,160Hz PWM dimming.

The OnePlus 12’s triple camera setup comprises a LYT808 50MP main camera developed in collaboration with Sony, an OV64B 64MP 3X periscope telephoto camera, and an IMX581 48MP ultrawide camera. Additionally, a 32MP front camera is housed in a centrally located punch-hole display for selfies.

Powering the device is a substantial 5,400mAh dual-cell battery supporting 100W SUPERVOOC fast wired charging and 50W AIRVOOC wireless charging. OnePlus introduces a new Dual Cryo-velocity Cooling System that enhances cooling surface area, cooling materials, and structural design, ensuring the phone remains cool during intense usage.

Connectivity features of the phone include dual SIM support, 5G capability, WiFi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, GNSS, NFC, and USB 3.2 Gen 1. The device is equipped with additional features such as an alert slider, an IR blaster, an x-axis linear vibration motor, and dual stereo speakers.

On the software front, the phone runs on ColorOS 14, built on the foundation of Android 14. Additionally, it holds an IP65 rating, rated for water splashes.

Pricing and Availability

The OnePlus 12 starts at 12GB + 256GB – CNY4,299 (~RM2,830), 16GB + 512GB – CNY4,799 (~RM3,137), 16GB + 1TB – CNY5,299 (~RM3,464), and 24GB + 1TB – CNY5,799 (~RM3,790)

The phone is available in Black, Green, or White colour and it will be available in China on 11 December 2023, followed by a global release alongside other products in early 2024.
