Samsung has recently introduced the T5 Evo, its latest portable SSD. Boasting an impressive 8TB capacity, this marks the largest storage size currently offered by portable SSDs on the market.
Utilising USB 3.2 Gen 1, the T5 Evo is capable of delivering read and write speeds of up to 460 MB/s. Compact in design, the drive measures 95 mm in width, 40 mm in length, and 17 mm in thickness, weighing a mere 102 grams.

Available in black, the T5 Evo features a titan gray ring that serves as both a handle and an eyelet for a strap.
The device is designed to endure drops of up to two meters and incorporates safeguards against external shocks. Also, Samsung has incorporated Dynamic Thermal Guard technology to prevent overheating. Additionally, the portable SSD supports AES data encryption.

Pricing and Availability
The Portable SSD T5 Evo is available globally and it’s priced at USD190 (~RM895) for the 2TB option, USD350 (~RM1,648) for the 4TB version, and USD650 (~RM3,061) for the substantial 8TB variant.
At the time of writing, Samsung hasn’t announced local availability or pricing.
