Are you juggling between two different devices or using two WhatsApp apps, and do you wish that WhatsApp would implement something similar to Instagram, where you can switch to a different account easily? Your wish has been granted.

WhatsApp is working on a feature called “Multi-Account” and they are letting a small group of beta testers try this feature, acccording to WABetaInfo.

This feature allows certain beta testers to add additional accounts to the app. Adding a new account can be done by going to Settings and tapping the chevron icon located next to the QR code button within the same menu.

Similarly, switching to a different account is also achievable from this menu. Once a new account is added, it remains on your device until you choose to log out.

This new feature aids individuals in organising their private chats, work-related conversations, and other dialogues within one app. It ensures the segregation of your conversations, including notifications, while enabling effortless transitions between accounts, without the necessity for separate devices or parallel apps.

Furthermore, this feature simplifies the process of using multiple accounts on a single device. Right now, there’s no mention of how many accounts you can add. For Instagram, you can add up to five accounts.

The multi-account feature is presently accessible to select beta testers who install the latest WhatsApp beta updates for Android and over the upcoming weeks, its availability is set to expand to more beta users.
