Mark Zuckerberg just announced on his Facebook that WhatsApp is introducing the capability to screen share while engaged in video calls, akin to the functionality already present in video conferencing platforms such as Zoom, Google Meet, and Microsoft Teams.

Users can access this feature through the “Share” icon. Subsequently, you can choose to share either your complete screen or a particular application.

Additionally, users enjoy video calls in landscape mode for a wider and more immersive viewing and sharing experience on their phones.

WhatsApp says that the feature can be used for “sharing documents for work, browsing photos with family, planning a vacation or shopping online with friends, or just helping grandparents with tech support.”

This screen share feature was in beta for a couple of months previously and now it’s coming to all users globally on iOS, Android, and Windows.
