The Nothing Phone (2a) has been eagerly anticipated for months, following various teases and leaks. The phone occupies the middle ground between the Phone (1) and Phone (2), offering a balance of features and price.

The Dimensity 7200 Pro chip, developed in collaboration with MediaTek, powers the Nothing Phone (2a), featuring a 4nm process from TSMC and a processor that reaches a maximum speed of 2.8GHz, with 12GB of LPDDR4X RAM and a 256GB UFS 2.2 storage.

Furthermore, the phone runs on Nothing OS 2.5 layered on top of Android 14. The company pledges to provide three years of Android updates and four years of security updates.

With a substantial 5,000mAh battery, the Nothing Phone (2a) supports 45W fast charging, reaching 50% capacity in 23 minutes and 100% in 59 minutes. Nothing asserts that the battery will retain 90% of its capacity after 1,000 charging cycles, equivalent to over three years of daily use.

The phone features Nothing’s distinctive Glyph interface with 26 individually addressable zones and includes three lights supporting various functions such as the Glyph Timer, notifications, the Glyph Torch, and Glyph Progress.

Also, to keep the cost down, the phone has a plastic frame and back panel, but it boasts IP54 rating for water and dust resistance.

The Nothing Phone (2a) carries a price tag of RM1,699 (12GB+256GB) and is offered in two colour options: Black and Milk.
