Apple rolled out the third major updates for the iOS 17 and iPadOS 17 operating systems, labeled as iOS 17.3 and iPadOS 17.3.
To install iOS 17.3 and iPadOS 17.3 on compatible iPhones and iPads, users can use the over-the-air update feature by navigating to Settings > General > Software Update.
Additionally, for individuals using older iOS versions, Apple has introduced iOS 15.8.1 and iOS 16.7.5.
One notable feature in iOS 17.3 is the inclusion of Stolen Device Protection for iPhones. This feature restricts access to sensitive information in the event that both the iPhone and passcode were stolen.
Biometric authentication is required for actions such as accessing passwords, disabling Lost Mode, making Safari purchases, and more.
To activate Stolen Device Protection, navigate to the Settings app and choose Face ID & Passcode. Enter your device passcode, and toggle the feature on. Additional information about the new feature can be found on Apple’s website.
