These Upcoming Huawei FreeClip Open-Ear Earbuds Look Like Ear Piercings

Huawei introduces the FreeClip as a key component of its innovative Fashion Forward wearable lineup, catering to a growing audience seeking in-ear wireless headphones that enable them to stay connected to their surroundings.

The clip design comprises three components: the Comfort Bean, the Acoustic Ball, and the C-bridge Design.

The Comfort Bean uses an ergonomic bean shape that conforms seamlessly to the contours of the human ear. Drawing inspiration from real cavum concha models, the Acoustic Ball achieves an optimal size to prevent discomfort.

The C-bridge design incorporates an adaptive sensor regulating the clamping force of the clasp mechanism, featuring the addition of nine core wires in its thin cantilever arm.

Huawei further distinguishes the FreeClip as the industry’s first open-ear bud that doesn’t differentiate between left and right ears.

In terms of specifications, the FreeClip has 10.8mm Dual-magnet High-sensitivity Driver Unit, boasting an impressive 32-hour battery life and a rapid 40-minute full recharge, with just 10 minutes providing up to 3 hours of listening. The buds themselves, excluding the case, are IP54 splash-proof.

Pricing and Availability

At the time of writing, Huawei has not disclosed the local pricing or availability, other than saying it’s “coming soon”.
