skilled job opportunities In The Tens Of Thousands
Anwar estimates that the new collaboration with SpaceX’s CEO would create tens of thousands of skilled job opportunities and enhance the electric vehicle (EV) sector in the country.
He was quoted by NST saying that these jobs will be realised through the establishment of headquarters, service centres, and experience centres in Cyberjaya, as well as collaborations in Petaling Jaya.
Commenting on the Starlink satellite service collaboration, Anwar said this will improve internet accessibility and connectivity, giving an opportunity for those living in rural areas access to the internet.
As for the Starlink satellite service, we have reached an agreement, which will provide access to affordable internet for rural areas, schools, and universities. Although initially 40 satellite services will be provided, he acknowledged the priority given to Malaysia. For SpaceX, three Malaysian companies will be involved in this project, and he (Musk) has expressed his intention to visit Malaysia in the near future.
