Samsung is going to launch the Galaxy S24 series soon, and thanks to a leaker, we don’t have to wait until next year to find out the specifications and the designs of the phones.
According to Windows Report, the phones are expected to feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor globally, while certain variants of the Galaxy S24 and S24+ will use the Exynos 2400 chipset in all countries except North America (and potentially China).
The Galaxy S24 is purportedly equipped with 8GB RAM, the Galaxy S24+ comes in 8GB and 12GB RAM options, and the Galaxy S24 Ultra is claimed to have 12GB of RAM regardless of its storage capacity.
The most expensive model among the three phones is said to be available in 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB versions. The Galaxy S24 will come in 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB storage variants, while the Galaxy S24+ is expected to be available in 256GB and 512GB versions.
The Galaxy S24 is reported to sport a 6.2-inch OLED screen with Full HD+ resolution and a 4,000mAh battery with 25W charging. The Galaxy S24+, featuring a 6.7-inch QHD+ OLED screen, is said to come with a 4,900mAh battery and 45W fast charging.
The Galaxy S24 Ultra is anticipated to retain the same 5,000mAh battery capacity as its predecessor, along with a 6.8-inch QHD+ OLED screen and 45W fast charging.
The Galaxy S24 Ultra is reported to sport four rear cameras: a 200MP primary camera, a 12MP ultrawide camera, a 10MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom, and a 50MP primary camera with 5x optical zoom.
The Galaxy S24 and S24+ appears to be sharing the same camera setup: a 12MP ultrawide camera, a 50MP main camera, and a 10MP telephoto camera with up to 3x optical zoom. All three phones are reportedly using a 12MP selfie camera.
Furthermore, the Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24+ are expected to be offered in four colours: Amber Yellow, Cobalt Violet, Marble Grey, and Onyx Black.
The Galaxy S24 Ultra, anticipated to feature a titanium frame, is claimed to be available in four colour options: Titanium Black, Titanium Gray, Titanium Violet, and Titanium Yellow.
All upcoming Samsung phones are reported to feature significantly larger vapour chamber heat dissipation systems and all three phones will incorporate various AI and Generative AI features.
The AI is expected to facilitate real-time translation of messaging apps in over a dozen languages, to assist in editing and enhancing photos, and improved search capabilities, allowing users to extract additional information about highlighted items in images through Samsung’s AI technology.
Additional features include Wi-Fi 6E on the Galaxy S24 and S24+, and Wi-Fi 7 on the Galaxy S24 Ultra. All three phones are expected to have 5G, Bluetooth 5.3, and a USB 3.2 Type-C port.
The Galaxy S24 series is reportedly launching on 17 January 2024 in San Jose, California, U.S.
