Samsung’s first Exynos chip was the Exynos 3 Single (also known as Exynos 3110). It was introduced in 2010 and used in the Samsung Galaxy S smartphone.
The Exynos 3 Single was a single-core processor with a clock speed of 1 GHz, based on the ARM Cortex-A8 architecture.
Since then, Samsung has continued to develop and release new generations of Exynos chips with improved performance and features for their smartphones and other devices.
Rumours suggest that the upcoming Galaxy S24 series will use the Exynos 2400 chip, and that will probably be the last chip to bear the Exynos name.
According to @OreXda, Samsung will be changing the Exynos to “Dream Chip” in the future for all its flagship and mid-range mobile processors.
However, according to Android Authority, Samsung said that “The rumor on rebranding is not true. For your reference, the mentioned brand name [Dream – ed] is simply an internal project name.” The company added “All rumours regarding rebranding are not true.”
