Registrations for the RM100 eMADANI e-tunai credit will start on Monday 4 December 2023 until 20 February 2024, according to the Finance Ministry.

MOF said in a statement that the e-wallet credit can be used until 29 February 2024.

According to the Finance Ministry, four e-wallets will be involved in the programme are:

  • MAE
  • Setel
  • ShopeePay
  • Touch n Go e-wallet

The RM100 one-off payment was previously announced by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim during the 2024 Budget and will be open to Malaysians who earn less than RM100,000 a year.

MOF said that the government has allocated RM1 billion for the programme.

The eMADANI programme is the successor to the eBeliaRahmah program and has a three-pronged objective: to catalyze the income of micro, small and medium enterprises (PMKS), encourage cashless payments and benefit the people.

Towards the end of the year and the school holiday season, the government hopes that eMadani’s contribution will to some extent ease the financial burden of the people while fostering a cashless payment culture. The implementation of the eMADANI program which starts next Monday is in line with the government’s commitment to speed up the implementation of measures that support the digitalization agenda of the national economy and help the people directly.
