OnePlus has officially announced the arrival date of the OnePlus 12 on Weibo. The flagship phone is set to debut on 4 December in China at a special event scheduled for 7 PM (China and Malaysia time), which also commemorates the company’s 10th anniversary.
As a flagship model for 2023, the OnePlus 12 will be equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip. It will feature a 6.82-inch LTPO OLED panel developed by BOE, boasting a resolution of 1,440 x 3,168 pixels and a peak brightness of up to 2,600 nits.
The device is set to feature 100W charging, and OnePlus 12 units sold in China will come with ColorOS 14 based on Android 14. On the other hand, international variants are anticipated to come with OxygenOS 14.
The camera setup of the OnePlus 12 will undergo an update, with the spotlight on Sony’s new 48MP dual-layer stacked Lytia 808 main sensor.
Additionally, a 1/2.0” 64MP OV64B sensor with a telephoto lens providing 3x optical zoom is part of the enhanced camera system. The third camera module is expected to be a 48MP ultrawide lens.
MySmartPrice has spotted the upcoming OnePlus 12 global variant with the model number CPH2581 on Thailand’s NBTC certification website, indicating that the global launch is right around the corner after the China launch. Maybe we will see the phone coming to the global market in January 2024.
