Other than the M3 24-inch iMac, Apple also announced new 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro, powered by the new M3, M3 Pro, and M3 Max chips.

The standard M3 chip features an 8-core CPU and a 10-core GPU. Meanwhile, the M3 Pro chip steps it up with a 12-core CPU and an 18-core GPU, and the M3 Max chip goes even further with a 16-core CPU and a 40-core GPU.

These chips support varying amounts of unified memory, with the M3, M3 Pro, and M3 Max accommodating up to 24GB, 36GB, and 128GB, respectively.

Apple claims that the 14-inch M3 MacBook Pro is a significant 60% faster than the 13-inch MacBook Pro with M1.

For users requiring more computational power, the 14-inch and 16-inch M3 Pro MacBook Pro models offer a 40% increase in speed compared to the 16-inch model with M1 Pro.

Additionally, the 14-inch and 16-inch M3 Max MacBook Pro models provide speeds up to 2.5 times faster than the 16-inch MacBook Pro with M1 Max and a remarkable 11 times faster than the fastest Intel-based MacBook Pro.

These M3, M3 Pro, and M3 Max chips are constructed using 3nm technology and feature a faster and more efficient next-generation GPU.

They also incorporate “Dynamic Caching” technology, allowing the GPU to dynamically allocate local memory in real time, optimising memory usage for each task.

The new lineup boasts a Liquid Retina XDR display in every model, providing SDR content that’s 20% brighter, a built-in 1080p camera, and a six-speaker sound system.

Additionally, the new MacBook Pros deliver an impressive battery life of up to 22 hours. The display itself features a sustained brightness of 1,000 nits and peaks at 1,600 nits for HDR content.

Beyond the internal enhancements, the MacBook Pro lineup introduces a new colour option: Space Black. This sleek finish is exclusively available for the M3 Pro and M3 Max versions, and it’s designed to minimise fingerprint smudges thanks to an anodisation seal.
