Today, Apple introduced the new 24-inch iMac with the recently announced M3 chip. The chip boasts an 8-core CPU, a 10-core GPU, a 16-core neural engine, and the capability to support up to 24GB of memory. Apple claims that the system can achieve twice the performance of the M1.

When compared to the previous-generation 24-inch iMac, Apple claims the M3 chip can achieve the following:
- Safari performs up to 30% faster.
- Productivity apps like Microsoft Excel perform up to 30% faster.
- Games load even faster, and users will experience up to 50% faster frame rates.
- Edit and play back up to 12 streams of 4K video, a threefold increase.
- Produce video projects in Final Cut Pro and Adobe Premiere Pro twice as fast.
- Process photos in applications like Adobe Photoshop twice as fast.
The standout feature of the new iMac is its 24-inch 4.5K Retina display, which boasts 11.3 million pixels and a brightness of 500 nits.

This display is complemented by a 1080p FaceTime camera and a six-speaker system with support for both Spatial Audio and Dolby Atmos.
The new iMac is equipped with Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3. It includes four USB-C ports, two of which support Thunderbolt, and some models offer Gigabit Ethernet support.
It is available in a range of colours, including green, yellow, orange, pink, purple, blue, and silver, and comes with a matching keyboard and the option of a trackpad or a mouse. Additionally, there is an optional TouchID feature for the keyboard.
