In February of this year, Samsung introduced the Galaxy S23 series, but it appears that the Galaxy S24 series might be launched even sooner and could bring along with it a new product that has the potential to overshadow the flagship phones.
According to a well-known purveyor of leaks Ice Universe, Samsung will unveil the Galaxy S24 lineup in January 2024.
The leaker also claims that Samsung plans to introduce the much-anticipated Galaxy Ring, which has been the subject of rumours for some time, alongside its flagship phones, positioning it as the standout attraction, according to Android Authority.
The rumoured Galaxy Ring has been a topic of speculation for a while. Its existence has been substantiated through patents and trademark filings, and previous leaks have indicated that the development of this wearable is in an advanced stage.
However, a report released in July suggested that Samsung could potentially delay the Galaxy Ring’s launch until sometime in 2024, due to the long process to get the device medically certified.
Samsung may choose to offer a sneak peek of the new ring during the Galaxy S24 launch event, with the actual release taking place at a later date, contingent upon obtaining all the necessary regulatory approvals.
The Galaxy Ring is expected to provide health and fitness tracking capabilities via Samsung Health, resembling the functionality of a Galaxy Watch. However, it will be more compact and won’t have as many features as its wrist-worn counterpart.
