Starlink has been given the green light to operate their internet services here in Malaysia which will benefit those living in rural areas.
Communications and Digital Minister Fahmi Fadzil said in a tweet that 97% of the populated areas in the country have access to the internet and the government will be working with companies like Starlink to provide access to the remaining 3%.
Therefore, the Government is ready to work with satellite internet service providers including Starlink to achieve 100% internet access in populated areas.

He said in the same tweet that Starlink’s services will first be utilised in IPT and school areas.
