Tecno is a smartphone manufacturer based in Shenzhen, China, and was established in 2006. The company has previously released a foldable tablet phone called the Phantom V Fold, and now they are planning to release a flip phone next.
An X user, @passionategeekz has leaked the upcoming Tecno’s foldable clamshell phone that will be known as Phantom V Flip and Tecno will be launching the phone in Q4 2023.
According to Newzonly, the Tecno Phantom V Flip will showcase a 6.75-inch foldable AMOLED display boasting FHD+ resolution, a 20.5:9 aspect ratio, and 144Hz refresh rate.
Its circular cover screen will deliver a resolution of 466 x 466 pixels, and it will incorporate a side-facing fingerprint scanner for security.
In terms of photography, the Phantom V Flip will sport a 32MP front camera, while its rear shell will house a 64MP primary camera and a 13MP ultra-wide shooter.
The flip phone is running on Android 13 and HiOS 13, powered by the Dimensity 8050 chipset and is expected to come with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal storage.
Its 4,000mAh dual-cell battery will support rapid 66W charging. Additionally, it will offer features such as dual SIM support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.3, a USB-C port, and compatibility with 14 different 5G bands.
