When Elon Musk took over Twitter, he knew the company wasn’t doing well financially and he was trying to get revenue for the social media company. So, in 2021, Twitter launched Twitter Blue, a subscription service that allows users to write more in a tweet, see less ads, get blue verification checkmark and more.
In order to get more users to sign up for Twitter Blue, they even removed legacy verified checkmarks for non-subscribers back in April 2023. So, it’s no surprise to see that the social media company is constantly thinking of ways to get more people to pay for the subscription.
According to mobile developer and reverse engineer, Alessandro Paluzzi (@alex193a), he found out that Twitter is working on limiting the amount of Direct Messages (DMs) free users can send per day before they have to sign up for Twitter Blue.

The current DM limit per day is 500, but he said he believed that Twitter will reduce this limit when this feature is rolled out.
So, if you want to sign up for Twitter Blue, you can do so for RM35 per month or RM369 annually.
