Apple is set to introduce its priciest iPhone lineup ever with the iPhone 15 series.

According to a report by Digitimes as cited by Forbes, reliable sources have confirmed the potential price increase of USD200 (approx. RM929) for the iPhone 15 Pro Max.

Additionally, it has been revealed that the iPhone 15 Pro will not be spared from these hikes, as it is expected to experience a price surge of USD100 (approx. RM464).

If Digitimes information is true, this is the prices of iPhone 15 series:

  • iPhone 15: starting from USD799, which is the same as iPhone 14 (RM4,199 MY price)
  • iPhone 15 Plus: starting from USD899, same as iPhone 14 Plus (RM4,699 MY price)
  • iPhone 15 Pro: starting from USD1,099 (approx. RM5,108), iPhone 14 Pro starts from USD999 (RM5,299 MY price)
  • iPhone 15 Pro Max: starting from USD1,299 (approx. RM6,038), iPhone 14 Pro Max starts from USD1,099 (RM5,799 MY price)

It appears Apple’s intention was to create a wider price gap between the iPhone 15 Pro and the iPhone 15 Pro Max.

The latter was planned to exclusively feature Apple’s inaugural 10x optical zoom camera. There are also speculations suggesting that the iPhone 15 Pro Max might be rebranded as the iPhone 15 Ultra, underscoring this new distinction between the two models.

If the leaks regarding a new top-tier storage option of two terabytes turn out to be accurate, the price of the iPhone 15 Pro Max could potentially approach USD2,000 (approx. RM9,297).

The new iPhone launch is just around the corner, with Apple allegedly launching it on either 12 or 13 September 2023. We shall wait and see whether these prices are the real deal or just another rumour.
