The Touch ‘n Go (TNG) eWallet has now added a new feature with a focus on personal data, called MyCyberShield. TNG collaborated with a cybersecurity company called “F-Secure” for this data protection feature.

Through it, they offer a subscription plan that provides instant notifications to users when their personal data experiences a breach.

According to TNG MyCyberShield FAQ, users will be notified for breaches of their personal data such as email addresses, usernames, bank account numbers, credit cards, mobile number, NRIC, and passport. This feature can detect breaches of up to two types of monitored items of the user’s choosing.

Starting from 25 August until 30 September 2023, Malaysians can take advantage of a unique opportunity to subscribe to MyCyberShield for just RM9.99, securing a three-month plan and also receiving RM3 cashback, directly added to their eWallet, according to SoyaCincau.

After that, you can continue the subscription by paying RM9.99 for three months, RM18.99 for six months, or RM36.99 for 12 months.

Right now, there’s a free 5-day trial, so you can try the feature out and see if it works for you. This new feature can be found by clicking GOprotect on the eWallet app home screen.
