Maxis 5G Plans Are Finally Going Live Today

With this, they finally joined the rest of the major telcos in offering 5G services in Malaysia.

Maxis is the last major telecom company in Malaysia that has yet to offer 5G services. But that is about to change today.

According to Maxis’s statement, the company introduced its long-awaited series of new plans featuring 5G services, which are now officially available.

Maxis said the primary aim of these plans is to cater to the growing digital requirements of consumers and businesses, particularly for activities such as watching video content and using productivity tools.

Maxis’ Chief Executive Officer, Goh Seow Eng said:

We are excited to bring 5G plans to our customers following our shareholders’ approval at the EGM today, and the subsequent signing of the Access Agreement with DNB.

Our plans offer attractive value for all segments, with a focus on affordability and adoption so that everyone can enjoy the benefits of 5G.

Here are the consumer and business 5G plans

Maxis Postpaid with 5G

Maxis has introduced a selection of new Postpaid plans, priced between RM79 and RM199 per month. These plans provide generous 4G/5G data allowances of up to 200GB. Furthermore, customers have the opportunity to benefit from an additional 5G data allocation of up to 100GB, along with unrestricted calls and SMS.

In an effort to enhance the accessibility of 5G services, Maxis is presenting a diverse range of 5G-enabled devices. These devices are available to individuals through Maxis Zerolution, which offers convenient ownership options. This involves a 24 or 36-month instalment plan with 0% interest.

Maxis Business Postpaid with 5G

Maxis Business postpaid customers will get to enjoy the advantages provided by the enhanced 5G postpaid plan mentioned earlier. Alongside these benefits, they will also receive extra Productivity Data, which can extend up to 100GB, and access to digital marketing solutions incorporated into their corporate plan subscriptions.

Furthermore, Maxis Business is extending an enticing offer of a monthly rebate of RM10 for up to a year. This rebate is applicable to any of their 5G postpaid plans, catering to both new customers and existing ones who choose to upgrade their current plans.

Hotlink Postpaid & Prepaid with 5G

The newly introduced Hotlink Postpaid plan inclusive of 5G capabilities will be available for RM70 monthly, offering a substantial 70GB of combined 4G/5G data. Furthermore, it includes an extra 35GB of supplementary 5G data.

For Hotlink Prepaid users, the option of 5G internet passes is presented starting from RM45 per month, encompassing 50GB of data along with an added 25GB of 5G bonus data within the Hotlink Pantas Pass. Alternatively, a more flexible weekly choice is available, costing as little as RM15 per week, providing 15GB of data plus an additional 10GB of 5G bonus data.

Moreover, individuals aged below 24 years are eligible for a beneficial incentive, receiving a 20% cashback on their acquisition of any monthly internet pass.

Maxis Home WiFi with 5G

Both current and new users of Maxis Home WiFi will get to enjoy improved home internet connectivity through the RM158 monthly package.

This plan guarantees unlimited speed on both 4G and 5G networks. Also, this package includes a 5G router designed to provide high-speed connectivity, accommodating the needs of numerous users and various devices within a household.
