The Enforcement Agency Integrity Commission (EAIC) is a federal statutory body in Malaysia that was established under the Enforcement Agency Integrity Commission Act 2009 (Act 700). The Commission’s main objective is to instil and enhance integrity among enforcement officers and law enforcement agencies.

FMT reports that hackers compromised the official Facebook account of the EAIC, resulting in all account administrators losing access.

In a statement, EAIC confirmed the incident, revealing that the social media account was hacked at 11am (12 July). The commission stated that they have started working with the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) to regain control over the account.

EAIC asked the public to ignore any statuses or statements posted on the platform after 11am.

The most recent post on the Facebook page was from 11pm (11 July), discussing an EAIC engagement session with the general operations force in Padang Besar, Perlis.
