OnePlus 11 was launched in January 2023 and it was available here in February 2023. It seems there won’t be a OnePlus 11 Pro version, as the company is preparing to launch the OnePlus 12, maybe later this year. Thanks to a leaker, we know how the phone is going to looks like.
According to Smartprix, they have obtained leaked renders of the OnePlus 12 from a well-known leaker, OnLeaks. These renders were created based on real life pictures of a testing unit prototype.
At a glance, the OnePlus 12 shares a very similar design to the OnePlus 11, but there’s a new addition, which is a periscopic telephoto lens setup as opposed to the traditional telephoto lens found in the previous model.
As a result of arranging the periscopic lenses in a horizontal stack, the available space within the module for the LED flash was restricted. Thus, OnePlus decided to move the LED flash outside the circular ring and placed it in the upper left corner of the island.
Shifting our focus to the front of the phone, OnePlus has introduced significant enhancements. It seems the OnePlus 12 could have a narrower bezels in comparison to its predecessor. Furthermore, the placement of the front-facing camera has been moved from the top left corner to the centre.
OnePlus 12 Alleged Specs
The OnePlus 12 is likely to be equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, offering enhanced performance, along with the new Adreno 750 GPU later this year. It is also rumoured to have a 5,000mAh battery with support for 150W wired fast charging and 50W wireless fast charging technology.
Furthermore, rumours suggest that the OnePlus 12 will have a curved 6.7-inch QHD OLED screen with a high 120Hz refresh rate. The display will have slim bezels and support high-frequency PWM dimming.
In terms of the camera setup, the OnePlus 12 is expected to sport a 50MP IMX9-series main camera sensor, accompanied by a 50MP wide-angle lens and a 64MP Omnivision OV64B periscope lens. This represents an upgrade from the 50MP+48MP+32MP camera configuration found in the OnePlus 11.
