We know Samsung is planning to release their next flip phone soon. Now, a leaker has disclosed what he assert to be the specification details of the foldable clamshell phone, along with their anticipated release date and corresponding price.
According to @heyitsyogesh on Twitter, the alleged specifications of the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip5 include a 6.7-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, accompanied by a 3.4-inch HD AMOLED secondary screen. The device is said to feature a dual-camera setup with two 12MP cameras.

In terms of hardware, the phone is rumoured to be equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, 8GB of RAM, and storage options of either 128GB or 256GB. It’s expected to house a 3,700mAh battery that supports 25W charging. The operating system mentioned is OneUI 5.1, based on Android 13.
As for the launch of the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip5, the leaker suggests potential dates of 26 and 27 July 2023. These dates align with the purported Samsung Galaxy Unpacked event, which is rumoured to take place during the last week of July.
Lastly, the leaker claims that the price of the device will be USD999 (approx. RM4,613). Whether all these are true or not, we shall find out next month during the event.
