It’s that time of the year again where rumours and leaks started ramping up in intensity regarding the next Samsung flagship phones.

After the release of the Galaxy Z Fold5 and Flip5, the world has turned its attention to the upcoming Galaxy S24 series, which is scheduled to be released early next year. Thanks to a prominent leaker, @OnLeaks, we now have our first look at the entire lineup.

The Galaxy S24 introduces a flat frame design, departing from the rounded edges seen in previous models. One of the most noticeable design alterations is the addition of a UWB (Ultra-Wideband) Antenna on the side, representing a significant first for Samsung.

The front display remains similar to its predecessor, featuring a flat panel of approximately 6.17-inch, but the bezels surrounding the screen have been visibly reduced, according to Smartprix.

The upcoming Galaxy S24 is expected to have slightly increased height and reduced width, measuring approximately 147 x 70.5 x 7.6 mm.

Since the device’s dimensions and thickness haven’t undergone significant changes, it’s anticipated that the battery size will fall within the range of 3,900mAh to 4,000mAh, aligning with the existing Galaxy S23.

The S24+ looks exactly the same as S24, with a larger 6.7-inch display and a bigger battery. This phone also features UWB technology and is reported to have dimensions measuring 158.5 x 75.9 x 7.75mm.

For the cream of the crop in the lineup, the Galaxy S24 Ultra continues to feature a huge 6.8-inch display and boasts one of the narrowest bezels ever seen on a smartphone, achieving a symmetrical and aesthetically pleasing appearance.

Samsung is also integrating a UWB antenna on the right side edge of the phone. The Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra has dimensions of approximately 162.3 x 79 x 8.7mm, making it slightly shorter but wider than its predecessor, the Galaxy S23 Ultra.

Smartprix reports that the phone is expected to utilise a titanium frame, similar to Apple’s iPhone 15 Pro, which is anticipated to result in a device that is 1g lighter, weighing in at 233g.

Besides that, the battery size is likely to remain at 5,000mAh, supported by 45W fast charging.

Rumours suggest the presence of an impressive 200MP primary camera, potentially the ISOCELL HP25X, an advanced sensor with a 1/1.3″ size.

Features like Super Quad Phase Detection autofocus and pixel binning (4-in-1 and 16-in-1) are expected to significantly enhance photography capabilities.

Additionally, a 3x telephoto camera, rumoured to be 50MP, promises a substantial improvement in image quality.

Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 or Exynos 2400 chipset?

It was reported that S24 and S24+ could be using both of them, depending on the regions. Some countries, like the United States, could be getting the Snapdragon variant, while other countries will get the Exynos model instead.

The S24 Ultra, however, will only be using the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 in all countries. The Snapdragon chipset will once again be the “for Galaxy” version, boasting higher clock speeds, similar to the 8 Gen 2 for Galaxy version.

Rumours suggest that Samsung is planning to launch the S24 series on 18 January 2024. The previous S23 series was launched in February 2023.
