Currently, among the major mobile network operators, Maxis is the only one that has not yet executed the access agreement for 5G services with DNB. But they said they will do it and they are just waiting for the right timing.

FMT reports that Maxis has restated its dedication to signing an access agreement with Digital Nasional Bhd (DNB) in order to offer 5G services to its customers. However, the CEO, Goh Seow Eng, did not disclose the exact timing of when the company will officially sign the agreement with DNB.

Goh clarified that the delay in signing the agreement is not due to Maxis refusing to do so. Instead, the issue lies with the network coverage, which still needs to be addressed and resolved. He emphasised the importance of collaboration among all network providers to overcome this challenge.

The Communications and Digital Minister, Fahmi Fadzil, announced that Maxis has agreed to sign the access agreement for 5G deployment during a keynote speech at the Invest Malaysia Series 2 conference yesterday. He added that Maxis will likely sign the agreement soon.
