Android users in Malaysia are blessed because we have an ample selection of Android smartphones on the market. The Android market in Malaysia is dominated by Chinese brands such as Xiaomi (the number one vendor here), OPPO, and Vivo. Now, another Chinese smartphone brand is about to make its debut.
iQOO stands for “I Quest On and On”, is a young brand established in January 2019. It is a subsidiary of Vivo and as far as we know, the company is only selling smartphones in China and India up till this point. IQOO is planning to enter the Malaysian market by launching a new flagship smartphone here. The company has been teasing the arrival of a phone since 1 November.
Today, the company finally revealed on its Facebook page that they will be launching iQOO 11 5G here.
There’s no official specs or images of this phone, only rumours and leaks, but here are the specs we found from GSMArena. The iQOO 11 5G could be using the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 (we’ve covered about it here), which has a QHD 6.78-inch display with 144Hz refresh rate and 5,000mAh battery that supports 100W fast charging.
Judging by the specs, don’t expect this phone to be cheap, but a new competitor is always good for the market and consumers.
