Today, HUAWEI announced the availability of its 12.6-inch flagship tablet, MatePad Pro, starting from 15 December 2022. The new generation MatePad Pro has received a face-lift in terms of external design, screen quality, audio-visual experience, software, and hardware.
The tablet is powered by HUAWEI Kirin 9000E, an octa-core chipset with Mali-G78 MP22 GPU coupled with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. It also has one big core NPU and one tiny core NPU for AI processing.
It has a 12.6-inch OLED display with a resolution of 2560 × 1600 and supports 120Hz refresh rate, a 90% screen-to-body ratio, 1.07 billion colours, P3 wide colour gamut, TÜV Rheinland Full Care Display 3.0 Certification and a maximum brightness of 600 nits.
The new tablet is equipped with the HUAWEI SOUND audio system as well as eight speakers, offering a cinematic audio-visual experience. To keep the screen on, the tablet is packing a huge 10,050mAh battery that supports 40W wired charging, 27W wireless charging and 10W reverse-wireless charging.
The rear of the tablet has a triple-camera setup, with a 13 MP main camera, an 8 MP ultra-wide angle and a 3D depth sensing camera. On the front, there’s an 8MP selfie camera. Also, the MatePad Pro supports 2nd generation HUAWEI M-Pencil and HUAWEI Smart Magnetic Keyboard.
Pricing and Availability
The tablet is only available in one colour, Golden Black and it’s priced at RM 4,299.
