The Bukit Aman Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department (JSPT) has announced that it has started regularly publishing statistics regarding road accidents and fatalities, in accordance with a decision made during a Cabinet committee meeting on traffic congestion and road safety.

According to its director, Datuk Mohd Azman Ahmad Sapri, the department will provide real-time updates on road accident data, including fatalities, sourced from incidents that occurred the previous day, as reported by Bernama.

Beginning 15 March, infographics will be shared on JSPT’s official social media channels, such as Facebook, Instagram, and X (formerly Twitter), before or by 2 pm.

Mohd Azman stated that the purpose of disseminating this statistical information is to raise awareness among road users and the public about the severity of daily road accidents.

He further urged all road users to strictly adhere to traffic laws and regulations, emphasizing that public cooperation is essential to heighten awareness regarding safety measures and to decrease the incidence of road accidents in the country.
