The first visit of Microsoft chairman and CEO Satya Nadella to Malaysia has been delayed due to the rescheduling of Microsoft Build: AI Day in Kuala Lumpur.
According to an email statement to the media, the company expressed appreciation for understanding and assured that efforts are underway to arrange a new date for the event. Once finalised, details will be promptly communicated. Microsoft didn’t provide any reason for the postponement.
Nadella was originally slated to deliver the opening keynote address at the event. Microsoft had planned for him to discuss the new artificial intelligence (AI) era and the potential for organisations in the region to leverage technological advancements to shape their future, as well as that of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and society at large.
Before the postponement, Microsoft had highlighted the Microsoft Build: AI Day as an opportunity for developers, data scientists, and technologists to explore the latest innovations and opportunities in the field of AI.
The event was set to focus on generative AI and Microsoft’s offerings like Azure OpenAI Service, Azure AI, Azure ML, Azure Kubernetes Service, Copilot, and GPT-4.
