Xiaomi 14 Ultra Is Heading To The Global Market

After launching the phone in China last week, Xiaomi has finally brought its photography-focused flagship phone to the international market.

The Xiaomi 14 Ultra boasts a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor with a 4,000mm² liquid cooling chamber for efficient thermal control. Its global configuration offers 16GB LPDDR5X RAM paired with 512GB UFS 4.0 storage, running on HyperOS based on Android 14.

Featuring a 6.73-inch 2K OLED C8 LTPO display, the phone delivers a resolution of 3200 x 1440 pixels, reaching a peak brightness of 3,000 nits and a pixel density of 522 PPI.

Supporting a wide colour gamut (P3) and HDR formats like Dolby Vision and HDR Vivid, the display incorporates adaptive refresh rates from 1Hz to 120Hz and utilises 12-bit colour depth technology.

The camera system includes a quad-camera setup with Leica Summilux lenses, comprising a Sony LYT-900 1-inch 50MP main camera with OIS and an f/1.63-f/4.0 variable aperture.

Additionally, it features a 50MP ultrawide angle camera with an f/1.8 aperture and a 50MP portrait telephoto camera with OIS, an f/1.8 aperture, and 3.2X magnification.

The device also includes a 50MP periscope telephoto camera with OIS, an f/2.5 aperture, and 5X magnification. For selfies, there’s a 32MP front-facing camera.

With a 5,000mAh battery, the Xiaomi 14 Ultra supports 90W wired charging, 80W wireless charging, and 10W reverse wireless charging.

The phone is equipped with an in-display fingerprint sensor, an infrared sensor for enhanced security, and various audio features like USB Type-C audio, Hi-Res audio, stereo speakers, and Dolby Atmos.

It also includes a 4-microphone array for clear audio capture. Designed to be dust and waterproof, it holds an IP68 rating.

Pricing and Availability

In China, the 16GB+512GB model retails for RMB6,999 (~RM4,643), but it’s unknown if Xiaomi is bringing only one configuration to Malaysia as well. Also, the phone is available in Black and White colours.
