As of the end of January, 10.07 million or 29.9% of Malaysians have subscribed to 5G, according to Communications Minister Fahmi Fadzil.

During his speech at the Maxis and Huawei 5.5G trial launch at KLCC, he mentioned that it is a significant increase compared to the adoption rate of 12.5% back in November of last year.

He attributed the increase to the 5G service charge waiver and thanked the telcos for their cooperation.
