Redmi Note 13 Series Hit The Market; Price Starts From RM749

Xiaomi just introduced the Redmi Note 13 Series in Malaysia and this new series features four devices: Redmi Note 13 Pro+ 5G, Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G, Redmi Note 13 5G, and Redmi Note 13.

Redmi Note 13 4G and Redmi Note 13 5G

The 4G variant is equipped with a Snapdragon 685 chipset, and its 5G counterpart features a MediaTek Dimensity 6080 SoC. The former supports up to 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and a maximum of 256GB internal storage, whereas the latter is only available in a single configuration with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.

Both models boast a flat 6.67-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels, a 120Hz refresh rate, 1800 nits peak brightness, and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection.

In terms of photography, the standard Redmi Note 13 incorporates a dual-camera setup on its rear, consisting of a 108MP primary shooter and a 2MP depth sensor. Additionally, a 16MP selfie camera is located in the punch-hole cutout on its display.

Both versions of the standard Redmi Note 13 are equipped with a 5,000mAh battery that supports 33W wired fast charging. Other features include Android 13 via MIUI 14, dual-band WiFi, and Bluetooth 5.3. However, it’s important to note that NFC connectivity is exclusive to the 5G version.

Both models also feature loudspeakers, a 3.5mm headphone jack, a USB-C connector, and come with an IP54 water and dust resistance rating. Regarding security, the 4G Note 13 is equipped with an in-display fingerprint scanner, while the 5G version features a side-mounted one.

Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G

This version features the latest Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chipset with 5G capability, boasting a single memory configuration of 8GB RAM and 256GB storage.

The Redmi Note 13 Pro shares the same display size as the standard Note 13 but offers an enhanced resolution of 2712 x 1220 pixels. It also features a 120Hz refresh rate, 1800 nits peak brightness, Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection, and an under-display fingerprint sensor.

In terms of photography, the Pro variant is equipped with a Samsung ISOCELL 200MP-powered primary camera with OIS, accompanied by an 8MP ultra-wide lens and a 2MP macro sensor. The front-facing camera retains the same 16MP sensor as the non-Pro variant.

Additionally, it houses a slightly larger 5,100mAh battery with 67W fast charging support. The device runs on Android 13 via MIUI 14 and supports dual-band WiFi, Bluetooth 5.2, and NFC wireless connectivity.

Other features include stereo speakers, a 3.5mm headphone jack, a USB-C port, and an IP68 water/dust resistance rating.

Redmi Note 13 Pro+ 5G

The Pro+ variant is equipped with a 5G-enabled MediaTek Dimensity 7200-Ultra SoC, offering up to 12GB of RAM and a maximum of 512GB storage.

Featuring a curved 6.67-inch AMOLED panel, the phone boasts a resolution of 1220 x 2712 pixels, a 120Hz refresh rate, 1800 nits peak brightness, an under-display fingerprint sensor, and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection.

Similar to the Pro model, this variant comes with a camera setup consisting of a Samsung ISOCELL 200MP primary shooter, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, and a 2MP macro sensor. Positioned within the top-centered cutout on its display is a 16MP selfie camera.

With a battery capacity of 5,000mAh, the Pro+ supports rapid 120W fast charging. Running on Android 13 via MIUI 14, it also offers dual-band WiFi, Bluetooth 5.3, and NFC wireless connectivity.

The device includes stereo speakers and a USB-C port but omits a 3.5mm headphone jack. Additionally, it boasts a water and dust resistance rating of IP68.

Starting 20 January 2024, the Redmi Note 13 Series will be available for purchase at Authorised Xiaomi stores, and at official Xiaomi stores on Lazada and Shopee.
