Dell Launches XPS 13, XPS 14, And XPS 16; Price Starts From RM5,499

Dell is introducing its latest XPS laptop series ahead of CES 2024. The lineup comprises 13-inch, 14-inch, and 16-inch models, all powered by the Intel Meteor Lake architecture, featuring on-device AI and heavily emphasising AI-enabled features.

All the laptops also come with a dedicated Microsoft Copilot key, enabling users to summon the ChatGPT AI immediately, though how useful it is remains to be seen.

Let’s start off with the smallest of the bunch. The XPS 13 is driven by up to an Intel Core Ultra 7 165H mobile CPU with integrated ARC graphics, supporting up to 64GB LPDDR5X dual-channel RAM at 7,467MT/s and up to 4TB of PCIe 4.0 storage.

The 13.4-inch display offers choices between FHD+, QHD+, or 3K+ OLED Infinity Edge displays, with support up to 120Hz refresh rate. This laptop only has two Thunderbolt 4 ports, plus support for WiFi 7, and Bluetooth 5.4.

Next up is the XPS 14. This laptop is equipped with up to an Intel Core Ultra 7 165H with a maximum boost clock of 5GHz. It supports up to 64GB LPDDR5X RAM running at 7,460MT/s and features an Nvidia GeForce RTX 4050 30W discrete GPU suitable for light to moderate gaming.

The display options include a 14.5-inch FHD+ or 3.2K panel with a peak brightness of 500 nits, utilising Dell’s Infinity Edge display technology, and 120Hz refresh rate. The battery capacity is 69.5Whr.

The laptop also features WIFI 6E and Bluetooth 5.3 support with three Thunderbolt 4 ports, DisplayPort 2.1, a microSD card reader, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

The most powerful of the lineup is the XPS 16. This machine boasts a spacious 16.3-inch Full HD or 4K display with up to 120Hz refresh rate, options for an Intel Core Ultra 9 185H mobile CPU, up to 64GB LPDDR5X running at 7,467MT/s, up to an Nvidia GeForce RTX 4070 60W, and a 99.5Whr battery.

For I/O, this laptop supports WIFI 7 and Bluetooth 5.4 with three Thunderbolt 4 ports, DisplayPort 2.1, a microSD card reader, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

Pricing and Availability

The pricing for each laptop starts at RM5,499 for the 13-inch model, RM8,499 for the 14-inch model, and RM8,999 for the 16-inch model.

Dell said that the XPS 13, 14, and 16 laptops will be on the market starting from the end of February 2024.
